About

Genevieve N. Williams holds an MFA from University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she received two Academy of American Poets Prizes. She is a queer poet whose poetry won the 2017 Edward Stanley Award, was nominated for Pushcart Prizes and Best of the Net, and appears in Prairie Schooner, Nimrod, The American Journal of Poetry, Mid-American Review, and Verse Daily, among other journals and anthologies. She is an interim writing center coordinator, a facilitator of writing workshops, a teaching artist, a writing consultant, and an adjunct English instructor. When Genevieve's not working, she enjoys spending time with people she loves, eating good food, going for walks/hikes, and reading/writing poetry.
